A courtyard of learning at Valakkulam

The madrassa keeps the rhythm of a traditional Kerala madrassa — carved wood, brass lamps, green prayer mats — while preparing students for the Islam Madha Vidyabyasa Board. Children begin with the Arabic alphabet and move, standard by standard, toward a confident command of Islamic subjects and the general syllabus.

We teach under the guidance of the Samasta Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, in a setting that is dignified, warm and unhurried.

Quran recitation and tajweed, Arabic language, hadith, fiqh and aqeedah — taught in small groups by qualified teachers, from the first standard through the twelfth.

The Islam Madha Vidyabyasa Board syllabus is followed for the general curriculum. Each standard carries its own board examinations, with steady progress tracked from the alphabet to higher studies.
